On Saturday 4.2. the annual area exercise of the local mountain rescue teams Neuberg, Veitsch, Kindberg and Mürzzuschlag took place in Frein/Mürz. The exercise was hosted by the team of Neuberg. After a lecture on avalanche awareness, the participants went out into the terrain where they practiced trauma care, avalanche transceiver search, Recco search, snow profiles and the use of a new rope technology. On Sunday evening our comrades were on standby due to a medical emergency on the Ganzalm. Fortunately, the rescue by the helicopter Christophorus 17 could be carried out without our help. Tuesday there was again a medical emergency on the Ganzalm. Here, the helicopterteam was supported by us after the rope rescue at the intermediate landing site. See photo. In the evening, ski tourers on the Stuhleck made an emergency call due to exhaustion and the beginning darkness. They were guided to the right path by telephone and were then met on a forest road by our operations manager and a colleague from the Alpine Police.
