On Saturday, the planned summer training exercise (rescue from a steep gully) took place in fine weather at Ameisbühel in the Schneealm area. Immediately afterwards, we were called to an operation in the "Zahmer Gamsecksteig" area on the Rax. A mountaineer had strayed from the path and had to be rescued from a rocky gully. After providing first aid to the exhausted but uninjured alpinist, he was secured with a rope and brought to the correct hiking trail. Meanwhile, three other Mürzzuschlag mountain rescuers at the Lammeralm near Langenwang worked with the rescue service to treat a broken collarbone and arrange for the transport of the injured person.
