At the same place as on 9th February, today a snowshoe hiker lost his grip in a steep snow flank and slipped down about 40 metres over a snow field. He injured his leg indefinitely. Since a recovery by the helicopter was not possible due to the wind, we were flown by several flights of 2 helicopters of the BMI and the ÖAMTC- Flugrettung (Christophorus 15) from Preiner Gscheid to the Karl Ludwighaus. After a short descent we took care of the injured and transported him in the Akja to the Preiner Gscheid. The rescue took place in cooperation with the mountain rescue Reichenau and the alpine police Hochsteiermark.
